In Memory of Marlo

Each year, CRAVINGS donates to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. For every CRAVINGS customer that adds gift wrapping to their purchase, a $5 donation goes directly towards the fund.
CRAVINGS owner, Jordana Jacobson, saw how the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation benefits families first hand when a dear friend’s baby girl, Marlo, was cared for in the children’s ward. The story of beautiful baby Marlo began at Royal University Hospital on August 28th, 2010. Her parents held her in their arms for a few precious moments before she was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Born with a very rare and life threatening genetic syndrome, she lived for three treasured days in the NICU surrounded by nurses and doctors, who gave her constant care and attention. Sadly and heartbreakingly, Marlo’s life ended on August 31st, when she took her last breath in her mommy and daddy’s arms. She was only here on earth for a short time, but left an everlasting impression on the lives of so many people.
CRAVINGS has re-named their annual fund in her honour. The “In Memory of Marlo” fund will honour not only Marlo, but all Saskatchewan children that use the foundation’s services.
The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for the enhancement of children’s healthcare and the Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan. For further information visit www.childrenshospitalsask.ca.
